PetroBench Platform v2.0 is a ground-up rebuild of our rod lift engineering platform. Every major system has been redesigned, from the simulation engine to the administration console, to support global engineering organizations operating at scale.

This release focuses on three themes: collaboration across teams, globalization for international operators, and enterprise governance for organizations that need auditability and control at every level.

Every simulation design now carries full revision history. Engineers track changes across rod string configurations, compare previous versions side by side, and roll back to any prior state. Every change is automatically captured with who made it and when. No more overwriting a colleague's work or losing a design that performed better three iterations ago.

Every simulation run is tracked with full simulation logs so you can review exactly what inputs produced what outputs and trace changes over time. Multiple engineers now work on shared designs simultaneously. Live presence indicators show who is active in a simulation. Share wells with engineers within your company or with external partners, contractors, and consultants. The platform supports metric, imperial, and international unit systems with per-user preferences. Units convert automatically across every calculation, report, and export. An engineer in Houston sees feet and psi while their counterpart in Abu Dhabi sees meters and kPa, all on the same simulation.

The entire interface is available in multiple languages with region-specific date formats, number formatting, and localized UI elements. Every engineer works in a familiar environment regardless of where they are in the world.

v2.0 introduces a hierarchical multi-tenant architecture built for operators with complex org charts. Headquarters set global standards and equipment libraries. Divisions customize templates for their basins. Regions inherit those defaults while maintaining local autonomy. Groups scope access at the team level.

Legal, procurement, and management teams get the visibility they need. See detailed activity across the entire company: who is working on which wells, what simulations are running, and how resources are being used across every region. A complete enterprise solution with the governance and oversight large organizations require.

Granular role-based access control at every organizational level. Platform roles control administrative access across the entire system. Application roles control what engineers can do within simulations and wells. Six permission levels from Basic User to Platform Admin, scoped by HQ, division, region, or group. SSO integration with Azure AD and Okta supports SCIM provisioning for automated user lifecycle management.

Every action across the platform is logged with full context: who did what, when, and where. See detailed activity within your company, including which engineers are working on which wells, what simulations have been run, and what changes have been made. Well Data, Directional Surveys & 3D Visualization

All your well data lives in one place. Import directional surveys and visualize wellbore trajectories in interactive 3D with detailed tooltips and measurements. Well data flows in automatically from integrations with Snowflake, Databricks, WellView, and custom data lakes. Share wells with engineers within your company or with external partners, contractors, and consultants using well-level sharing permissions.

Custom Pumping Units, Custom Rods & Equipment Libraries

Create and manage custom pumping units and custom rod configurations alongside the standard equipment library. Define your own specifications, share them across your organization, and use them in any simulation. Shared equipment catalogs are maintained at the division level and inherited by regions, so your team always has the right tools available with structured search, filtering, and smart defaults.
